The Trajecsys Report System allows commenting in different ways, some of which can be turned off or on by program administrators, so each program may feature a unique configuration. Comments can be viewed on the individual evaluation, form, logsheet or competency, or on the Comments page which is available as a menu item on the home page. If comments are available and not marked as read, the chat bubble to the right of the Comments menu item will be red.
Post-submission comments - Program administrators may turn on post-submission (PS) comments from the Settings page for comp exams or from the Eval/Form Setup: Template Settings page for evaluations. PS comments are a way of allowing the subject, evaluator or faculty to attach a comment to an item after a form has been submitted. For example, a student can document why there was poor performance on a certain assessment item, and faculty or the evaluator may return to comment on the student's comment also. All PS Comments can be viewed on the comments page and an additional comment added by clicking "Reply" on that page. If the student opens a comp exam or evaluation result, he/she may add a comment by clicking the plus sign next to Add Comment at the bottom.
Item Comments - It is possible to document any item selection in competencies, evaluations or forms by providing a comment to the right of the item. Additionally, comments are allowed when logsheets are filed by the student if this feature is enabled from the Settings page.
Note: Text-based responses in evaluations are not considered comments. They are not treated in the same way as comments for many reasons. If a text box of any size is provided as the method of submitting a response, then these text responses are not considered as documentation of a response, but the response itself, and as such are not displayed on the Comments page.
