There are several ways in our system to denote the use of labs or simulations. A comp type could be created, but this would not permit identification of a lab or simulation activity by the student when reporting activities on the logsheet; for this, specific sites should be designated as labs/simulations (the wording will vary according to what is defaulted. If you would like the word "Lab" to be used instead of the default "Simulation" on all pages but the Sites page (where Lab is used for brevity), please request this of technical support.
The Lab/Simulation checkbox will also appear and be pre-selected at the bottom all competencies completed at sites so designated. Lab/Simulations can be filtered also on the Reports-->Comps: Completed page for exclusion/inclusion into all completed competencies.
Once sites are designated as labs, students will see a "Lab" or "Simulation" checkbox when reporting activities on the daily logsheet. It will be preselected but if the student was doing a non-lab or simulation activity, it can be unselected.
Students will be able to filter their activities as lab/simulation, no lab/simulation, or both by using the dropdown at the top of the skill summary.
