There's an easy way to add, delete or edit exam items across more than one exam. To begin, go to Procedures-->Exam Items and find the exam item that you wish to edit or delete. Click the edit icon to the right of the item, highlight the item, then Ctrl+C to copy the item to your clipboard then hit "Cancel" to return. Now click the link at the top right of the page "Manage Exam Items for Multiple Procedures". If you're adding, you'll need to know where you wish to insert the item, so if it isn't top or bottom, you'll need to count rows to the item location where you wish to insert it first.
Edit Exam Items - Click the Edit Exam Items button, paste the item that you've just copied into the text box. Make edits in the text changes box. Select the procedure checkboxes you wish to add/delete from. Be sure to Preview (click the magnifying glass) first before continuing. Make sure score type and item order are correct before submitting.
Delete Exam Items - Click the Delete Exam Items button, paste the item that you've just copied into the text box. Select the procedure checkboxes you wish to add/delete from. Be sure to Preview (click the magnifying glass) first before continuing.
Add Exam Items - Click the Add Exam Items button, type the item into the text box. Select the procedure checkboxes you wish to add/delete from. Be sure to Preview (click the magnifying glass) first before continuing. Make sure score type and item order are correct before submitting. You can choose "Custom" from the Order box to insert an item past the 9th row.
Switch score types - You can change score types for existing items in multiple comp exams. Create the score type, then use the "Switch Score Type for Items" button and designate which type to move from. Be sure to check the comp exam procedures you want to switch.
