In the Trajecsys Report System, all procedures (frequently called "Skills" in our system) have their own competency (comp) exam. If you don't add any items, the exam will consist simply of an "Approved" or "Not Approved" button. Most programs would like to have more than that!
Let's say you've added a new procedure (visit the Procedures page to learn how to do that) and now you'd like to add a comp exam for it. Remember, you MUST add a comp exam for each procedure if you don't want a blank one, even if you are using the SAME items in your comp exam for all procedures.
COPYING EXAM ITEMS FROM AN EXISTING PROCEDURE: In the Admin Panel, go to Procedures-->Exam Items and select the Major Study and the Skill that has exam items you wish to copy. Check the box at the top of the left column so that all the exam items (assuming you want to copy all of them) are marked with a check. Then click "Clone Selected." You will then select in a pop-up window the major study and procedure you wish to copy those exam items into (the new procedure). Be sure to select "Same Score" from the dropdown. Then click "Clone" to finalize the copying of items.
CREATING NEW EXAM ITEMS: Assuming you didn't copy exam items from another procedure, on the Procedures-->Exam Items page, select the major study and procedure for which you want to create new comp exam items. Click "Add New" to begin adding items to the exam. Enter the text, select the score type, and decide where to place the item within the exam. Note that you can insert the item at the top, bottom, or somewhere in between, whether you are adding a new item or modifying one.
EDITING OR MANAGING COMP EXAM ITEMS ACROSS MULTIPLE PROCEDURES: Visit this page to learn how to edit or delete comp exams within several procedures at one time.
