New Evaluations Overview

Created by Mario Rodriguez, Modified on Sat, 28 Feb at 4:26 AM by Mario Rodriguez

Our evaluation system now greatly expands the number and type of evaluations, forms or surveys that you can create. With the new system, you'll have enhanced flexibility to create student or site evaluations as in the older setup, but with enhanced options for evaluation display and reporting. We'll talk about these in detail later.

In our new system, you can have as many evaluations/forms/surveys as you wish - for instance, an evaluation for junior students and one for seniors. But that's only the beginning of the things you can create - here are some examples of other types:

  • Student evaluation of clinical supervisors
  • Site employees' evaluation of students
  • Faculty evaluation of students
  • Report form for documenting faculty visits to sites
  • Survey to determine best date and location for the annual faculty-student banquet

There are also new features:

  • Automatic "weighting" of item sets. For instance, you may wish 5 questions to be worth 30% of the total number of available items, and another 10 questions to be worth 70%. There are special considerations in weighting; administrators should contact Trajecsys support for assistance in configuring a weighted evaluation.
  • On/off display of reports. You can choose to display reports to user groups whenever you wish or make them available at all times.
  • A fill-in-the-blank item type, which allows for sizable text areas. Fill-in-the-blank items are scoreable from the admin panel by faculty. Also, using fill-in-the-blank item types without associated score types can allow you to create forms for any user group's purposes.
  • Optional hiding of evaluator and/or site identity
  • Sharing of evaluation results with all supervisors at a site or sites where the subject (if student) has visited recently
  • Post-submission comments
  • Delay results display for X days
  • Receive notifications of submission

Evaluations are easy to create and can be done in orderly steps. Visit "Creating New Evaluations" to get started.
